        Dr Muhammad Farhan is currently serving as Saudi Aramco Chair Professor of Smart Mobility and Traffic Safety Research at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He has over 20 years of experience in successful implementation of Traffic Safety, Transportation Planning, and Transport Modeling projects in USA, Europe, and in the Middle East. Prior to joining the University in Dammam, he has served on several leadership roles as a consultant for federal government of USA, international engineering consulting firms, and for non-profit sectors. His research interests include Traffic Safety, Transportation Planning, Traffic Flow Theory, Travel Time Reliability, Smart Mobility, and Mathematical Models. Dr Farhan has been actively promoting the idea of traffic safety oriented smart mobility deployment and its implementation in Saudi Arabia by funded scientific research projects, trainings, workshops, and through Delphi panels on review of smart technologies. He is currently serving as Member Standing Committee on Transportation Demand Management ABE 50 of Transportation Research Board (TRB) at National Academy of Sciences in USA. Dr Farhan is also Editorial Board Member and Advisory Board Member for International Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology as well as serving on the advisory board for several technology firms. He has also been serving as Scientific Committee Coordinator for several conferences including the ones sponsored by Transportation Research Board, International Road Federation, and ITS World Congress, and International Traffic Safety Forums organized by Salamh-Saudi Safety Council. He was awarded PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering by the University of Utah and received further post-doctoral training in smart mobility and mathematical models from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

        Prof. Dr. Yasser has been a researcher and consultant since 35 years. His work includes the application of numerical modeling and analyses in geotechnical projects. He has a wide experience by the design and construction of raft and piled raft foundations of high-rise buildings and bridge foundation. He was also involved in many projects dealing with special measures to increase stability of landslides, soil improvement, rock fall hazards, high speed railways, tunneling, dams monorails, and many infrastructure projects.

        Prof. Elmossallamy is the geotechnical leader of Arcadis team work for the New Istanbul Airport in the last 6 years.

        Dr. El-Mossallamy is the chair professor of geotechnical engineering at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

        Prof. El-Mossallamy has more than 100 publications dealing with different geotechnical topics.

        Rusty Russell is an experienced professional with a diverse background in transportation event and project management, including over twenty (20) years of experience in major international mega-event design, planning, multi-million dollar budget management and full operations delivery. As an international events leader in transportation who has managed challenging environments, including three Olympic Games, two World Cups, two Club World Cups, two Special Olympic World Games, the Asian Games, the Asian Cup, multiple Formula One races and numerous other high profile international mega-events, he has successfully trained and managed multicultural teams to ensure superior performance and successful delivery of operations. After obtaining his degree in Sports Management, Rusty immediately begun working in the field of international mega events. Over the next twenty years Rusty has traveled to many locations across the globe to strategically plan, lead, consult and operate transportation for events of various scopes and scales. He is currently the Head of Transport, Traffic and Parking for Expo 2020 Dubai.

        Harj Dhaliwal oversees all customer activity and projects for Virgin Hyperloop One in the Middle East and India. With over 35 years of civil engineering experience, he has a proven track record for managing mega rail and infrastructure projects in complex challenging environments around the world.

        He began his career as a contractor, moved into consulting and has held senior management roles in global client and consulting organizations. Harj has spent the last 22 years in the development, delivery, and management of heavy rail, light rail, and metro projects including PPP, PFI and D&B projects across Europe and the Middle East. Notably, he was the Programme Director for the delivery and operation of the first national heavy railway in the UAE – Etihad Rail.

        Prior to Virgin Hyperloop One, Harj was the Senior Vice President for the International Rail, Transit and Systems business at Parsons Corporation where he was responsible for some of the largest and most complex rail and metro projects in the world and led a team of over 450 staff. Prior to joining Parsons in 2012, Harj led the development of several multibillioneuro rail and transit programs in the UK and Ireland.

        Harj is a Chartered Civil Engineer, member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Member of the UK Engineering Council, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Harj is based in Virgin Hyperloop One’s Dubai office.

        A British Chartered Engineering Director with twenty-six years post-graduate experience of managing multidisciplinary teams, in both client and consultant organisations, to deliver large multi-billion USD infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, bridges, renewable energy assets, public realm assets, and the associated strategic studies (transport planning, utility masterplans and innovation strategies).

        Experienced in all project phases, including initial strategic master-planning, site preparation (geotechnical investigations, enabling works, earthworks grading), infrastructure design development (concept, preliminary, detailed), procurement (tendering, evaluation), construction supervision and asset handover (to client or local authority entities).

        Projects range from single mega-projects, to large portfolios of minor projects; from green-field project sites to refurbishments of operational facilities. Experience gained initially as a technical engineer, followed by various management positions to lead in-house or external design teams. Work experience includes 9 years in his native UK, followed by 17 years out of the UK: 14 years in the UAE, 3 years in China, and short inputs in KSA, Qatar, Tajikistan, Ireland and India.

        Specialized in GCC infrastructure projects (especially UAE), Renewable Energy Innovation Strategies and UK water sector framework portfolio delivery.
